Siphoning

A phenomenon where a chemical is naturally sucked out and continues to flow even after the pump is stopped. This phenomenon occurs because the position of the end of the pump's discharge-side piping is lower than the level of the liquid in the suction-side tank.

Siphoning can be prevented by installing a back pressure valve or an anti-siphon check valve at the injection point.
