Reciprocating Pumps

Reciprocating pumps such as diaphragm pumps and plunger (piston) pumps transfer liquids by utilizing reciprocating motion to change the volume of the pump chamber to transfer liquids.

Because the discharge volume remains stable even if the pressure at the discharge destination changes, such pumps are mainly used for high-pressure, small-amount chemical injection. The lack of any parts rubbing together and no chance for liquid leakage make diaphragm pumps suitable for transferring chemicals.
