Accumulator

A type of pulsation attenuator

Accumulators use the same operating principle as air chambers, with nitrogen gas enclosed in the bladder (rubber film separating the gas and liquid) inside the container instead of air.

Accumulators are effective for pressures higher than 0.5 MPa or when using liquid that can be affected by air. However, because the inside is made of rubber, problems such as corrosion resistance when used with organic solvents, acids, or other liquids can arise.
