Additives are injected to mix them into the raw materials at a paper making factory.
Pulsation occurred in the diaphragm pump used to inject the additives, which posed the following problems.

  • The raw material and additive mixture is not even.
  • The amount of additive to inject cannot be measured with a flow meter.

TACMINA's Solutions

The pump was replaced with a Smoothflow Pump.

  • Because there is no pulsation, metered injection is performed at all times, so there is no longer any unevenness in the mixture.
  • Because there is no pulsation, it is now possible to measure with a flow meter.
