A high-pressure pump is used to inject sludge into a filter press (a pressurized filtration machine) to dehydrate the sludge. The existing pump posed the following problems.

• When the filter is clogged, the pressure increases, causing the pump flow rate to decrease and making the dehydration take a long time.
• The pump wore out due to the particles in the liquid, which led to frequent part replacement.

We delivered a high-pressure, high-capacity Emmerich slurry pump to the customer.

• Even if the filter is clogged and the pressure increases, the pump’s discharge volume does not decrease. This makes it possible to supply a constant amount at all times, shortening the dehydration time.
• Because the diaphragm method is used, the amount of wear is low, which makes it possible to use this pump for a long time without requiring any part replacement.
