Customer's Needs and Problems

Sample water is supplied to a residual chlorine meter in order to measure the chlorine concentration in the rinsing water used for wash bottles.
Currently, instead of a pump, bypass piping is used, which poses the following problems.

  • The flow rate of the sample water cannot be stabilized, which makes it impossible to accurately measure the chlorine concentration.
  • When the wash bottle tank is emptied and cleaned, air and dirt are taken into the residual chlorine meter.

TACMINA's Solutions

We suggested that the customer use a Smoothflow Pump for sampling, and they agreed to this proposal.
A new sampling tank was installed, and the sampling line and wash bottle line were separated.

  • Because a constant amount of liquid can be supplied to the residual chlorine meter at all times, the reliability of the measured result has improved.
  • Air and dirt no longer flow into the wash bottle tank when it is being cleaned.
