Mold-release agent is applied as a mist from a spray gun during the tire production process.
An air-driven pump is used to supply the liquid, which poses the following problems.

• The flow rate of the air-driven pump varies due to pressure fluctuation on the discharge side, so an excessive amount of liquid may be converted into mist.
• Mold-release agent is expensive, so we want to eliminate its waste and thereby reduce costs.

The pump was replaced with a Smoothflow Pump.

• A constant amount can be discharged with almost no influence from pressure fluctuations, which made it possible to convert the appropriate amount into spray at all times.
• This made it possible to reduce the amount of expensive mold-release agent that is used.
