Air chamber
A type of pulsation attenuator
The ability to compress the air in the chamber reduces the pulsation of the reciprocating pump, ensuring a stable flow of liquid. This makes it possible to reduce piping vibrations, overfeeding, and other problems related to pulsation.
However, as the air in the chamber dissolves in the transfer liquid and decreases, pulsation will occur, resulting in the need to replenish the air periodically. TACMINA’s Smoothflow pumps do not require an air chamber.
